Aren't birth announcements suppose to be sent out right away? From what I've seen on the internet, on a lot of the announcements, the picture of the baby is from when they're a lot older, and not a newborn picture. Does this make sense? Unfortunately, my DH and I never got to send an announcement. We honestly were just so busy with the baby we forgot about it. I guess you can consider Caiden's website to be sort of a birth announcement.

Re: Birth Announcements...
We got so caught off guard with Sophia, that we skipped the announcements.

Re: Birth Announcements...
We didn't send them out for almost 2 months...it was a bigger project than I thought. And by then, everybody pretty much knew! But I still wanted to do it. No biggie I think.

Re: Birth Announcements...
I sent Molly's out when she was 3 weeks old or so. But you do not have to send out annoucements. They are not required. You have your hands full with going back to work, bfing and caring for the baby. People do not expect them.

Re: Birth Announcements...
Mine was sent the beginning of February, and Briana was born in December. Everyone knew of her birth, but they were still excited to receive one.

Re: Birth Announcements...
We sent ours out at three months. Everyone already knew, but it was still nice to do. Found out later that people were actually waiting for the announcements to send gifts, because as soon as they went out, the gifts started pouring in (not that we were waiting for them).
