birth control - aviane?

anyone one this? my doc prescribed it. didnt really talk about others tho. she just said its good and low hormone

anything else i should know??

I've never heard of it.... But that doesn't mean anything....

I'm actually considering going off bc because I've been on it for SOOOO long (since '97) and this one i'm on now (loestrin 24) gives me monthly migraines.... They are awful....

I've had luck with the others I was on, though. Tri-levlen first, and then regular loestrin. idk why he switched me to the 24. I think he had samples or something...

i just read varying side effects about increased acne....but then others saying acne cleared up

i dont want me skin to get any worse

I was on aviane. I was prescribed aleese (sp?), but aviane is the generic version. I had previously been on ortho tri cyclen, but the price went up and my insurance stopped covering it. I told my doc I didn't want to pay $50 a month for it and if there were any cheaper, similar options, and this is what she prescribed. I can say I noticed really no changes. I didn't get any acne when I was on it. I did get acne when I went off of it.
