I told my doctor this morning that I wanted to switch to Yasmin. She said it was fine and wrote me a prescription and gave me a sample pack. I didn't look at them until I left and it is 'Yaz:'.......it does not say Yasmin anywhere. Does anyone know if Yaz is the same as Yasmin or something completely different? Thanks!

it could just be a generic brand, which really is the same thing, just cheaper

YAZ is a completely different type of birth Control than Yasmin. Well, they are similiar but Yaz is the new one where you take more hormone pills and have less days off the pill so that your period is shorter, whereas Yasmin is like the orginal concept of birth control pills, more likely to mimic your own cycle.
