Birth Control/Problems

Can starting TTC right after you stop taking the pill raise the chances of miscarriage and other pregnancy problems or does it just make it harder to conceive.

actually, you are most fertile right when you come off of BCP and it is not proven at all that it is more of a risk to the pregnancy...At first It may be harder to find out your EDD, but that is it...

It doesn't raise your risk of miscarriage at all. I have a very good friend who got pregnant one week off the pill and just delivered in December the most beautiful baby boy. I have another friend who got pregnant WHILE on the pill and also gave birth to a very healthy boy.

My friend is PG with her 2nd and BOTH pregnancies happened while being on the pill - and both baby boys are fine.

Thank you so much. I am so worried about not waiting long enough after being on the pill for so long and I wouldn't want that to affect the babies health at all.

My GYN told me to wait 2 to 3 periods before TTC to give the uterine lining a chance to become thick and a healthy environment for a fetus.
