Birthday present for the man who has everything...

I need to find a birthday present for my uncle, he has so much I don't know what to buy for him. I don't want to do the usual watch, cuff links, etc.

He likes the outdoors, he likes clothes (I was thinking of a Thomas Pink shirt, but now that he's retired, I don't know if he'll wear it, he's now more into leisure types of clothes).....
Any suggestions?

What about one of those 'of the month' clubs...like meat of the month, wine of the month, etc?

I was completely going to suggest fruit of the month clubs. What about a gift certificate to a good restaurant?

BTW, where is there a Thomas Pink store on LI. They had one in Manhasset, but it closed down. Do they sell them at dept. stores? I have been wanting to buy FI one but I can''t find them.

Hrmm.. I''d suggest Eddie Bauer.. they pretty much center on outdoor-sey types.

Otherwise I agree with the monthly club thing.

It''s like shopping for my DH .. he has EVERYTHING. Other than a few video games, it''s tough. I ended up buying truffles from Bloomingdales & a suade watch case (Neiman Marcus) to hold his watches in.

Good luck

If he's into the outdoors, then definitely a gift certificate to Cabela's!!

I have lots of 'guys who have everything' in the family!

Last year, we gave DH''s father a lobster clambake for his birthday. We ordered it from

The Lobster Guy

We were very happy with the service, and they said the food was top notch. The traditional NE clambake comes with tons of food, and includes bibs, picks, etc. It''s all packed into a pot so all you need to do is add water and boil.

If he is an outdoorsman, how about a gift certificate to Orvis?http://www.orvis.com/

SURPRISE.COM has gift categories for practically everyone you can imagine...you might find an idea that your uncle would enjoy!

Does he golf or play a sport...you can pay for a few lessons or time at the range.
