black BM dresses for aug wedding??

what do you girls think of black BM dresses for my august '06 wedding...

i really really want hot pink roses for the bo-ks.. i originally wanted pink dresses but im having second thoughts about that - so i want to have pink flowers for the bo-ks and reception..

what do you think, since it is a summer wedding - is black ok??

and do you have any pictures for me...

i like this dress!!

We might be doing the same thing for a June wedding, though our dresses have colored ribbons. With a black dress they have more of a chance of wearing them again and it's easier to find shoes.

thats my point exactly..i hate to have my BM spend the money and just have it in their closet and not use them again..and the shoes are a big thing too..

Personally I don't like black for weddings, esp in the summer. But I can see it's becoming very big and I think it would look great with hot pink flowers!! Go for it!!!

That's a great dress and it will look awesome with hot pink flowers. I personally do not like black BM dresses any time of the year, because I don't like how they photograph.

But i would be a very happy BM if someone chose that dress for me!

I wore black as a BM in a July wedding. IMO, I think it looks classy.

my best friend just got married at the end of july and we wore black and i think we looked damn good, if i do say so myself!!! black is a classic look and always works. go for it if that's what you want!!

That is such a nice dress! My girls are wearing black next June.. it's so classy!! I LOVE black and pink together. I'm having my girls carry pale pink calla lilies.
