Black Bra??

Black Bra??

Is it okay if I wear a black bra to try on wedding gowns? I would like to wear white/nude, but I only have a black strapless bra... Should I just go buy a white/nude one?

Hmmm, well the black bra won't really show through most of the fabrics because they'll be pretty thick. It's up to you really, but you'll always have use for a nude bra so why not buy one?

Ditto. Most bridal stores can provide you with a strapless nude bra to use when trying on dresses. But, I have mostly nude colored bras. They're the most versatile.

I only own a black one, so I always wore that one.. only ONE dress store give me 'lip' about it, saying it wasn't the 'right kind of bra' and made me use a 'house' one.. that really didn't fit.

I'd say bring it b/c you prob. won't see the black through all the layers. A lot of places have bras for you to change in to as well. I wouldn't buy a nude one unless you think you have other things you'll wear it to because you'll buy a special one that goes w/ your dress once you find yoru dress!

Def doesn't matter. On most dresses the material is thicker and you wouldn't be able to see anyway.

I forgot to buy a strapless bra and wore a regular VS bra when I shopped for gowns..Sometimes they will give you a bra to try on while you are there...

i wore a black bra with straps when i tried on dresses for the first time (it was kinda a surprise visit), and it wasn't a problem. the black didn't show through, and my hair covered the straps.

When I went to DB to try on gowns they gave me a white corset to wear under the gowns I tried on...I dont know if all places do this though...

I wore a black bra and different dresses you could see it and it was kinda trashy looking lol

I would def invest in a nude one - you'll get use out of it anyway.

Thanks so much girls!!! I don't wear strapless too much so I don't know how much use I would get out of a new nude bra. So I think I'm just going to use the black one I have. Thanks again!!

If you don't wear strapless bras often then don't waste your $$ getting a new one to try on dresses! I think I wore my black one there then ended up using a nude one they provide and then I ended up just taking it off all together lol So don't worry about it your black one is fine! Have fun :)
