Black Dahlia
I have previously met with a couple of other florists, Burton's & Hidden Essence. While Burton's wasn't my cup of tea, I really liked Michelle from Hidden Essence & I'm still considering using them but I just don't have that gut feeling. I decided to meet with 1 or 2 other florists. I called Black Dahlia and they told me to come in tonight. Can any of you ladies who are using them send me your quote & what you're getting? Also, if you're having vases, lanterns, candelabras, etc? I think it makes a difference on price.Thank you so much!

If you want a personal touch, I cannot recommend Andrew Scott Events in New Hyde Park highly enough. Andrew did a great job with working with us to fit our budget and come up with something amazing and unique. We are getting 22 centerpieces, 6 bouquets/boutonnoires, bridal bouquet, corsages, etc at a price comparable to Burton's but with a much more personal experience. He is also the house vendor for the Inn and New Hyde Park. His website isn't as updated as it could be but there are tons of photos on his facebook page (Andrew Scott Events).

Black Dahlia
I loved talking to Sonja! It was great talking to someone who knew my venue and what would and wouldn't be beneficial. After talking to her it was clear that she was doing it because she has a passion for it, not the type that will push all sorts of arraignments just to make more money. I previously e-mailed her some centerpiece ideas and she walked me thru the price for each of them. I want low centerpieces for roughly 15 tables, with roses as the main flower. I was quoted roughly $1300 for 15 centerpieces, bridal bouquet (roses and calla lilies), 4 bouquets/boutonnieres, 2 corsages, fresh flowers for the cake, throw bouquet, and candles for the head table. I am having a black and white paisley pattern accents and she was willing to wrap the bridesmaids' bouquets with the pattern. She also mentions that I could potentially get some of the parts of the centerpieces myself but there is a minimum charge of $30 a table if they are setting up.The two centerpiece ideas I gave her:

Re: Black Dahlia
Our appointment with Black Dahlia last night went so well! Sonja is so nice and was extremely helpful in helping us get exactly what we wanted for our budget. I really wanted crystal candelabras with candles and a large flower arrangement at the top for our centerpieces. I thought I wouldn’t be able to get it because candelabras are expensive to rent but Black Dahlia owns them so we were able to get it for a steal which I’m so excited about. This is what we're getting for centerpieces just with purples instead.

Thank you for posting that!! I was already thinking about going with Black Dahlia and also wanted candelabras but thought it would be too expensive -- I'm glad to hear it might be doable with them! Plus your centerpieces look like they will be awesome!
