black envelopes? REPOST

did anyone have black envelopes for their invites? my dad mentioned something to me about people being turned off to a black envelope for a wedding invitation to me it doesnt matter, opinions?

Is your dad old-fashioned? He might just be associating black = funeral, not HAPPY WEDDING TIME!

I asked my MOB/MOG not to wear black dresses .Although, I don't care if my guests wear black or even jeans. I just don't want anyone to look like their in mourning.

if this is the kind of theme/style you are going for (if its your personality/fh's personality...) then go for it...But dont forget your family though, i know people say its your day but its also a day for your family to be proud, celebrate and you want to make sure they are comfortable...
