Black Forest Bakery...

RH gets the wedding cake from Black Forest Bakery and I was wondering if anybody has ever tasted any sweets from here. Not sure where its located. TIA

I had a piece of birthday cake from there a few months ago, and it was fantastic.

We got our cake from there, and it was really really good. We had chocolate cake with PB mousse and a yellow cake with raspberry mousse, all with cream cheese frosting.

Lindenhurst on wellwood.
We've gotten plenty of cakes from there, our eparty cake was by far my favorite!
they used to have a website, but it was outdated and now i can't even find it.

to be honest, don't get a fruit filling... thats the only 'negative' thing about them is their fruit filling tastes a little funny... but their choc mousse and buttercream- yup DROOLING- again!

for our eparty we wanted a simple sheet cake in the colors we picked and we wanted double hearts on it... they went above and beyond, I was floored at how amazing it looked.

and we were told we'd prob get to take home at least ¼ of it because it was bigger than average (our caterer hooked us up)... yea, ppl went up for 2nds and 3rds...
I only got a tiny piece.. so my mother ordered me a smaller cake (same filling/flavoring) for my 25th birthday last year, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If its the same Black Forest Bakery I'm thinking of its on Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst, south of Sunrise highway. Everything I've tried from there has been really yummy!

I personally DO NOT LIKE canoli, but its FH's favorite so our sheet cake was ½ choc mousse, ½ canoli. Like I said... there weren't even crumbs left.

haven't gone for a tasting yet but our cake will be from BFB (that's the one our RH recommends and we have a cake included in our package).

I use to work there when I was in HS. It a great bakery, they will do a great job!

LOVE THEM! MY family has been using them for years for all of our really important events (graduations, showers, etc.). Their cakes are always super fresh. My shower cake was frome there- choc cake with choc mousse filling and whipped cream outside- everyone raved. I wish I could get my wedding cake from them but I honestly can't afford to cough up the extra dough when my RH includes a cake already (though prob not as good as Black Forest).,

I've gotten a few cakes from them and they are just yummy you got nothing to worry about.
