Black Forest Bakery in Lindenhurst vs Rolling Pin Bakery cake options

Hey girls!

So timber point gives us the option of these two bakeries to use for our wedding cake that's included in our package. Anyone have experience with these bakeries good or bad that can sway our opinion?

My thing with rolling pin is that they charge money for their samples. I don't know how I feel about that,

Any opinions welcome!

Thank you

So, the cake that comes with ours is The Rolling Pin, we don't get a choice. I was a little annoyed about paying for the samples. But, I've had their cupcakes at the East Wind's showcases and they are amaze. I don't even like chocolate cake, but the cupcake was awesome.

That being said, lol, I used to live close by Black Forest and they are AMAZING. We used to get all of our bakery stuff there when I lived at home.

I've had Black Forest multiple times in my life and they are delicious! I haven't had The Rolling Pin, which where we will be getting our cake from, but they seem to be popular with the wedding crowd.

We're getting married at Timber Point as well, and we tried samples at both Rolling Pin and Black Forest. We booked Black Forest on the spot, the flavors were delicious!

Haven't tried either, but our cake is included through Rolling Pin. I'm not thrilled about paying for the samples, think it's silly since I'm sure I'm paying a fortune for the cake. I've read mixed reviews about them. I guess I have to find time to make the trip out there to buy some samples.

Rolling Pin let me pick up samples in Bayshore! The chocolate cake is delicious! I order chocolate cake with strawberry mousse and raspberry mousse on the other layers. very tasty

I have been to 3 weddings with Rolling Pun, including my brothers. Cake was phenomenal. I'm a huge cake person, like Huge. I believe cake should be like a food group lol

We tried around 6 flavors, I think chocolate cannoli and raspberry mousse were our favorites. We didn't do any upgrades, but I think they were reasonably priced.
