black forest bakery tasting?

We have a meeting with Tommy during the week to discuss our cake....

FH and I want different things, and I don't know how this works ---

do we pay for these samples? how does this work for those who've done it before? we got a list with a million different fillings, some we don't even know what they are...

We used Black Forest, and did not get to taste anything, however, we didn't even ask. I remember being so overwhelmed that I forgot to ask if we could taste it. However, I will tell you this, they did an AMAZING job on our cake!

What if you and FH disagree on flavors that are written on paper? do yo have to pay to taste each flavor?

We got 2 flavors. They did an amazing job on our cake too. I didnt have to pay any extra. But they didnt seem very willing for us to have a tasting. As a matter of fact I felt VERY rushed and I had to drive almost an hour to get there! Maybe it was just the day, but still! ETA: We had chocolate cake with canoli cream and chocolate chips on one half which I didnt care for (I dont like canoli cream) and the other half was raspberry filling and that was amazing!

We can get our wedding cake at Black Forest. You have to let me know how it is!!

I dont know, All I can tell you is I didnt get to taste anything.

I was there today and did not taste anything, but Tommy did say that next time I was in the area to call him and he will whip something up to taste

We just got to taste the fondant b/c we had asked him a question about it. We've tried many of their cakes though...it was also the cake for my shower.
