That is where the idea came form. I really wanted purple burberry ties, but none of them look like this. They just dont go. And the only one close was a skinny tie and im not feeling it.. This is a double plus because it would cost me over $1000 in ties if i found this from burberry LOL

Whoa, settle down. I'm allowed to go away for the weekend with my wife, right?

Here's the good about the ties. I like that they are tie your own (I HATE pre-tied ties from tux shops -- what are we 6 years old?). Also, if you are doing purple dresses, I like that it's not completely solid matchy matchy purple.

That said, I think they would go much better with suits. I'm kind of a stickler for the rules of black tie, and if you want they guys to wear tuxedos they should wear (gasp) a BLACK tie, and it should be a bowtie. Anything else IMO is just wrong and looks incorrect.

Now look, wearing these ties wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, but why not do it with suits?

If you are DEAD SET on doing ties like this with tuxedos, i'd stick with a black vest or cummerbund, and get a one-button peak lapel jacket.
