Hey Ladies.. I have run into a dilema. My FH and I all along have planned on having Black tuxes, with black vest and shirts with amethyst ties for the GM, and for my FH Black tux, black shirt,charcoal grey vest and tie , I am whearing ivory and my BM are wearing amethsyt.
We were going for untraditional, sort of rock edgy look...
The man at the tuxedo store said.. that the black on black effect will not go well with my ivory dress and the pics may not llok good. He said ofcourse do whatever you want, it was just a suggestion to use ivory shirts. Ofcourse that is a whole new look.
Fh is struggling with it..He really wants this mobste/johnny cash type look. and well so do I.
How do you think the pics would look. Do you think it really is an issue.

Ive seen it done and looks great. Plus its your wedding and your style so you know you would love it and honestly the only ppl who need to love this idea is you and your fh. If this is something the two of you really want, go for it. Remember that some ppl are very traditional and dont think you should do anything out of the ordinary, and thats fine too, thats who they are but its not you. You are the one who has to look at your pics, and your fh has to be the one to love how he looks that day, not the guy at the tux shop. I say go for it

I can't see how it would really look bad. I wanted this myself, but FH nixed it, unfortunately.

Hi.....
I worked at a tux place for 7 yrs and loved black shirts...i think they always looked great.
the amethyst on black sounds amazing... charcoal MAY blend too much with black in pics, did you consider a shade lighter, a silver vest and tie for him?
did you try dante zeller? they will order anything you like for the groom to try on :)
