Black Vs Red BM dresses

Okay, I finally picked out BM dresses & now I have to decide between red & black. I like them both. Has anyone done black is is doing black. I've seen a lot of the red dresses & really like the way they look...but, I also really like black. Does anyone have any pictures of a wedding with black BM dresses?

I am doing a Black & White Wedding....... I've heard from a lot of people that Red is a popular color for bridesmaids dresses. I chose black because the dresses my bridesmaids picked looks stunning in black.

I am doing all black dresses with red black magic roses for my New Years Eve wedding. They are both great colors!!!

I originally wanted burgundy for fall. Black definitely has an advantage (slimming, versatile) but I ultimately decided against it and am going brown. I saw a dress in Macys that gave me the idea. A rich brown, almost black. Have yet to decide whether or not it will be 1 or 2 pieces, and if I want a solid color or mix and match. The goal is to pick out material and have a dress made for each girl... My sister is not fond of the idea (she has yet to see “the light”) but the other ladies are open to anything...

Jewelry wise I am going amber (family is from the Baltic states and amber is big there). So brown, amber, ivory for fall I think should turn out quite nice!

My BMs are wearing black dresses as well...I think black is flattering on most anyone and my BMs are happy that they just might be able to wear a BM dress again.

I'm doing a monochromatic look for the flowers - shades of red & hot pink.

I am having a night wedding in July. my mother & siter think the black is to dark but I get nervous doing a color because you can't really tell from the swatches what the dress will look like.

I think I'm doing the red/burgandy/wine colors. I rather not have BM in black, since the tuxes will be black. I want them to standout too!

I went to a wedding August (very hot - day after the black out) on a Friday night where the BM's wore black. love the look. I think it is kind of an old fashion mentality to think BM can't wear dark colors in the summer. I think Black dresses look elegant and great for a night affair. (but I do love red also..just commenting on how I think black is fine!)

When I picked my BM's dresses I couldn't decide between black and red. I went back and forth for a while and finally decided to do black. I am so happy I made that decision. The girls really can wear it again to a formal event and they were all able to wear their own shoes. I had red balck magic roses and it all looked awesome. Fletch...I just looked at your pictures. The BM dresses are very pretty. Do you remember the name ofthe red you used. I was thinking of usingthe burgundy instead of Claret.
