I AM TORN WHEN IT COMES TO COLORS FOR MY BRIDAL PARTY. MY WEDDING IS IN JULY. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKE BLACK WIT A LIL BIT OF WHITE BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME IT LOOKS MORBID.
ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS???
I ALSO LIKE AN ICED PINK COLOR
ANY COLOR IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT FOR A JULY WEDDING

my friend got married August first and her bm's wore black dresses and carried white roses... it didnt look morbid at all... but i think adding pink to it definitely adds more of a summery feel to it...

I'm doing black with an ivory sash in August. I might change it and have a colored sash. I want BRIGHT colored flowers to give it the summer feel. Go with what YOU like!

It's not morbid. We wore black for my friends wedding last June and we were on the beach. You choose whatever color or color combo you want. It's you and your FH's wedding, no one else's.

my sister got married in april and the bms had black dresses, mine (moh) was black with a white sash. It looked so classy and elegant! pics in my album if you want to see

I got married in August and my girls wore black tea length dresses with wine colored sashes. They carried dark pink and light pink flowers with some green hydrangea so I say do black, I think its classic not morbid.
ETA: I'm at work so I don't have any pics on this computer, but if you look at my review you will see some pics of my girls and the flowers. I loved the color combo! Good luck and try not to let others sway your decision!
i think with the girls in black carrying bright flowers, it won't look morbid at all!!!! i would just be sure to pick a summery fabric like chiffon or something

I'm doing black and white with probably yellow flowers for the girls. Definitely colored flowers, no white flowers because I don't want it to be blah.

if you really want color then you can totally add the pink...
but i think black & white is beautiful anytime of year-- my gf did it in april last year---thats the only reason why i'm not doing it
im doing navy instead- still classic and chic! with pink accents!

I am getting Married in July of 2011. I am having a black and white themed wedding. I am planning on putting my bridesmaids in a tea length satin dress with a light pink colored sash. They will be carrying white calalillies. Black and White is great because it is classy. It does not look morbid. This is your wedding. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

I'm doing black bridesmaid dresses with a white sash. My wedding will be in November, but it's during the day and I'm planning for an outdoor ceremony. The girls will be having ivory/cream colored roses, and all centerpieces are white orchids. I was debating between black/ivory and black/pale, iced pink, but since the sash is ivory, the BMs are getting ivory flowers, and mine will have a hint of pink to stand out.
If it helps, when I picked out my bridesmaid dress, the sales lady said black is becoming such a popular bridesmaid dress color, and that it's timeless and elegant.

I completely agree with the other ladies. I think you can def do black! I'm getting married exactly 1 yr before you and here is a picture of the color my ladies are wearing.
