Re: blackheads?
this is soo my dilemma too, starting to work out to get into wedding shape and now I am breaking out like a teenager... I just looked up the price for a micro-derm facial.. 175! Not fitting into the wedding planning budget... any recommendations for Spas on LI that are reasonable and give good facials?

Re: blackheads?
Thar - have you tried just a regular facial? Those will normally clear you up...

Re: blackheads?
Lisa you need som$ething with salicylic acid. Use a gentle face wash and then use a toner like neutrogena oil free astringent once or twice a day. Make sure u use a good spf moisturizer in the am and u should be good to go. You have beautiful skin though

Re: blackheads?
Retin-A or retinol has been the only thing that has worked on blackheads for me. I have tried salicylic acid, and it only dried out my skin without actually clearing up acne.
Retin-A you can get from a dermatologist, retinol is a lower strength version you can get in a drugstore.
Apply it at night, and wear sunscreen of at least SPF 30 during the day.
