blackout appt.
I don't think I told you guys this...and just realized you missed a great story!
When I was having those bad pains, I went back to the doctor they day after the blackout. NJ was up and running in that area. So I was going to see a doctor I hadn't seen yet in the practice. They brought me to the examination room and I was going to meet w. the dr. first to explain, and then get undressed, she'd come back in for the exam...
So I am sitting on the stirrup chair w. the door closed, and the lights go out!. So it's pitch black, the doctor comes in and she says 'ok what is going on'. I explain and she says 'ok I want to do a papsmear. If I leave you in here w. the door closed and tell you to change you could fall in the dark' (this is all being said by flashlight being held by the nurse...), 'so how do you feel about just pulling up your skirt?' I HAD A FULL PELVIC BY FLASHLIGHT!!!! She was amazing I must say..she was laughing saying 'it's like being on MASH!' And I am talking a PENlight - not like a big utility light!
Just thought I would share. Someday I'll tell the baby what mommy went through to make sure he/she was okay!!![]()
