Who typically does the Blessing at the Reception? Does it have to be a priest or other religious clergy or can it be a lay person?

It can be anyone. We did not have this done, but my husband's brother had his father and his bride's father do blessings at the reception. It's a personal choice.

Are you talking about the food blessing? Anyone can. Any of our work parties we always have someone say a blessing before the food is served.
