bling check!!!

So I decided to go wedding band shopping even though its early. I just needed something to do wedding related

At first I went to jewelry stores that were local, but the best idea was going to the mall. All the stores there are in competition with each other and having sales.

Mini-rant about Kay's. That was the first store I went to and this lady showed me two rings. She had the nerve to say 'Your choices are limited because of your engagement ring. I always tell the men to be careful of what they buy because this will happen. I'm afraid I have nothing left to show you.' ***!! I was sooo pissed! Every other store I went to let me try on every style to see what I liked. That b**ch lost a customer!

Anyways here's my ring. I'll look for FH's ring later on.

Funny story about Kay... FH got me a promise ring there when we were dating before we got engaged, and it had to be resized. When we were there we got a protection plan on it and the woman literarlly told us the exact price of the ring while we were standing there AFTER I told her it was a gift.

FH was mortified, it wasn't cheap but it was no where near expensive and he had no intention of me knowing the price. While she was standing there, I turned and I said don't worry baby, obviously some people have no idea what the meaning of the word gift means and I'm sure we'll never be shopping here again...

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience @ Kays. I personally love them and so far FH and I have been having a great experience with them. But then again the Kays we've been dealing with is not in NY (FH is in the military). Do you mind if I ask which Kays you went to so I know which one to avoid? lol

It was the Kay's in the Palisade's mall in West Nyack. I'm sure they might have other people working there that are nice. Just avoid a woman wearing glasses.

yea people who work in a customer serive job have to learn you get more flies with sugar.... it shocks me when i get treated so rude. if i was ever like that to any of clients i would be outta work!
she should realize, especially with her job, that poeple are getting more cocktail style e-rings now a days. but they find a way to make it work, not push them away
