Blocking Hotel Rooms????

How much were you quoted?
If all 10 rooms don't get booked, do the guests that did book a room still get the discounted rate?

FH called 3 hotels that the hall recommended. I thought the rates were pretty high! He then proceeded to check out their websites, and there was a cheaper rate on the website. Do you think, when the hear wedding, the think $$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!????????

Should I just make my own hotel card with the three closest hotels and their phone numbers, rather than blocking rooms.t

I checked the internet too...but because those rates are lower, you can't block at that rate...the blocking rate guarantees the rooms for your guests. Those are merely first come first serve....

my minimum was 8 rooms on any one night ( we ranged from a Thurs night to sunday night) at $109 a room.

when anyone hears WEDDING THE $$$$$$$$$ Shoots up.. I've learned that.. is the hampton inn brookhave near majestic gardens, they have a great deal.. No deposit required,$119 per night per room,free shuttle to and from wedding (whate ever time you request) AND a free breakfast for your guests the next day!!!!

I have a few differnt hotels blocked (dont ask long story)
and our raites range from $89-$159 per night. ONly one hotel had a clause that if less than 5 rooms were reserved the rate would increase by $5-10

We blocked at the Hampton Inn also. We might stay at the Suite Sat and Sunday and have breakfast with the people who stay there on Monday.
