Should I block rooms now for my October wedding? I thought you usually send the hotel information with your invites, but should I block the rooms and then verbally tell people, that way they can make arrangements and if the blocked rooms get booked, I can have them hold more? Or should I just hold off for the invites?
I am getting married in October as well and I blocked rooms last week. They only hold the rooms until up to one month before the wedding so I wanted to get the word out as soon as possible.
I would block them now - Oct is a popular wedding month and you don't want to be shut out of your first hotel choice. Also, a lot of people make travel plans far in advance and would like to know their options ahead of time.
