did you go to the hotel to talk to someone or just make arrangements over the phone???

Re: blocking hotels...again
I made arrangments with the Wyndam Windwatch over the phone. There's usually someone who's in charge of party-planning stuff.
Good Luck!!

I did everything over the phone, and they mailed me contracts to sign and send back with corrections if need be. I did the Best Western Woodbury Inn...

everything over the phone during standard business hours.
Edited to say: DH and I went to LI one weekend and looked at a lot of hotels in the area before we chose the one we did because we wanted something nice but not too pricey for our guests. Once we chose the hotel then we did all blocking and our brunch and everything over the phone.

I wanted to see the rooms as I had never been in many of the hotels in the area. It really influenced my decision. Give a quick call before you go down, if you decided to check them out in person. I did the contract part over the phone/mail.

My Fi took care of the part mostly. He called and got prices, we narrowed the choices down and then visited two of them together. Then he negotiated between them and did the contract via fax/phone.
