blocking rooms

blocking rooms

The hotel I picked out hasn't returned my 3 phone calls this week--anyone run into a situation like this? I am hestistate to block rooms b/c this is such poor service, but I liked this hotel best...should I keep trying or deal w/ something less desirable? TIA

I was hoping I was overreacting b/c they had what I need as far as accomodations are concerned but this is a pet peeve of mine.

Anyone ever use this hotel?

I had some problems especially when you're talking about so far in advance. Sometime people put you off because 'you have time.'

God I hated hearing that.

Sometimes you have to hound these people. I called and booked a block of rooms a month ago and still haven't received the contract.

I am very short with good service. If they did not return calls and you already have a bad feeling about them..don't use them! Why give them such good business if they really don't care to have yours..Sorry IMAO

I work in a hotel and I sit on the same floor as the sales team. They despise wedding blocks! Mostly bc it's such a small piece of business and brides yend to be very high maintenance. From the stories I have heard about Bridezillas and Groomzillas, I know why.

I would just keep calling! Don't get discouraged just yet. Lots of ppl are on vacation right now too, so maybe they are short people.

Wow! I thought it was a larger chunk of business for them! I thought this would have been one of the easier things to do!
