Re: Bloomberg going to far

I have a similar system in my car. You all ask why?

Because when I get a new CD and i want to hear how it really sounds... i listen to it in my car before anywhere else.

Why? Because in my car I don't have to deal with neighbors complaining or anything of the sort.

Why that loud?
Your ears only take in so much.. the louder it gets the less you lose of the 'real sound' as you call it. It's all about space and acoustics. Cars just make no sense to have it so loud that as Scott says you can hear it a block away.

That's just silly... again.. WHY?

I turn up my stereo too, but not enough to be heard 5 stories up or a few blocks away or to vibrate the truck of my car!!!

I have a hearing problem that makes extra low bass sounds vibrate painfully. It's annoying. Close your windows if you want 'the sound'.

If you're NEIGHBORS don't want it, what makes you think I or other people LIVING in those homes you pass by with that want it either???

I don't get it. Just because I'm not YOUR neighbor it's ok to ruin my movie with that racket? It's ok to ruin the 'mood' with rap (ick) it's ok to ruin serious dinner conversation about something important? It's ok to ruin a telephone conversation because you want to hear your music?

I mean I just don't get that.

(this isnt directed only at you of course, just in general obviously)

Or do folks with that crap on so loud seriously not GET that they are being rude and obnoxious to people in those homes? I doubt that. So that means they're doing it on purpose which really ticks me off. I hope they give a heafty fine for loud stereos.. especially after 10pm when Im trying to SLEEP!!!!!!

Then what happens when someone needs to honk at you for a valid driving reason? You're not going to hear them.

I thought driving with the car stereo system turned up so that the western hemisphere can listen was against the law?

If it was, it wasn't enforced. If it wasn't it should and I think that's what bloomie's trying to do.
