Bloomingdales event at the Garden City Hotel?

Hi,
I'm rather new here and although I haven't set a date yet I'm starting to look at everything.
My friend gave me something about this event at the Garden City Hotel with Bloomies.
Is anyone going to it? Or have you gone to these in the past?
They say they will have dresses from Kleinfield?
Does anyone know anything really about this? Do you think it will only be registry stuff or will they have vendors? I tried calling and they were very vague. They are donating all of the proceeds to Breast cancer so it is for a good cause, but not sure if I want to go if they will be really pushy since I am just in the starting planning stages
