Hey there..sorry I've actually been busy at work! I'm working two jobs so it's been hectic..

Everything is cool...yeah, working at work...I have some nerve.

Trying to find time for a vacation! I am taking off Thursday though just because.

Don't know..it will be in August but we love the Caribbean and I'm afraid of hurricanes. I guess I could just buy the insurance..,but then I would still be w/o a vacation.

May play it safe a rent a nice house at the cape. Then again, east coast hurricanes again...

The high maintenance part of me wants luxury and to be pampered, but we haven't been away in so long, I'll be happy just to be away.

My pre-requisites:

Pool
Beach
Room service
Great restaurants-good wine list
Room with a view
Swim up bar

Doesn't have to be all inclusive but that makes it easy.

I guess I may have to suck it up and go caribbean and keep my fingers crossed.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know. FYI-No Mexico.

Hmm - I think that you could find a hotel to fit your needs in Grand Cayman or Bermuda (though it's annoyingly expensive) - I love both of those islands. There's also Turks and Caicos (Grand Turk - haven't been but it looks gorgeous), Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

But if you're worried about hurricanes, have you considered Aruba?

Yeah Aruba is a consideration, but also $$$..I've heard some wishy washy reviews of some of the hotels..not looking to spend a fortune.

I love Bermuda..wish it wasn't annoyingly expensive though.
