Blue Nile anyone??***** UPDATED******
I'd like to know if anyone has ever ever shopped on Blue Nile.. if so, how was the quality and most importantly is it legit?>
Here's my issue (a very teeny weeny issue) my engagement ring is beautiful and I absolutely love it... but... the setting is way too high and I keep banging the ring.. and I'm terribly afraid of damaging and/or the center stone falling out....I'd like to change the setting.. but I'm afraid that FH is going to get upset and offended.. rightfully so... but the fact remains I keep banging the ring against things and I try my damndest to be careful.. but..it's tough sometimes..
helppp.. how do I approach FH about this...
UPDATE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So after I got off the pc last night.. I gently approached FH and asked him if I could look into a new setting for me e-ring... that unfortunately, I've been banging it up pretty good.. (I then showed him the dent in my e-ring) and at first he was upset and had a few choice words for me.. of which he has every right to voice his frustration.. he then calmed down and said that if it bothers me that much that my e-ring mounting is too high then we should look into changing it.... that afterall, it's my ring and I have to wear it and that he wants for me to be happy.. awwwee... he is sooo sweet and understanding... so I'm going this Friday to the jeweler where we got the e-ring .. to see what can be done.. so wish me luck.... I'll be a little sad b/c I won't have the original e-ring setting.. but seriously.. I can't wear this ring any longer.. I already chipped off a piece of the gold finishing... and that is not good!
As for Blue Nile.. I contacted a Rep. and they absolutely under no circumstances sell the settings separately from the diamond.. which ***** b/c.. I fell in love with a pave setting.. which was stunning!
