bm advice- kind of long

ok- so my fiance and i were engaged a year and a half ago. we started fighting like crazy. he has a son from a previous marriage and i have a daughter from a previous relationship. we couldnt get on the same page about the kids- we faught alot about it. so we called off the engagement- and cancelled the hall etc. we stayed apart for a month and then decided we would take a step back and see if we could make it work. we dated for a year and then got engaged again. our relationship is good now- we have worked really hard and are really happy. well... my 2 best friends - one i have been friends with for 27 years and one i have been friends with for 10 yrs- were not happy we got back together. neither will really talk to me. so i figured i would give them time to let it sink in. well in may i emailed them that my mother was throwing a bridesmaid luncheon and that i needed to know if they would still be my moh. neither responded- well one did and he said he needed time... its been 2 months since that email. now i am sad and kinda pissed. well my prob is i have no moh. i asked 2 girls who i love and i am close with to be in this bridal party- but i didnt ask them the first time- so its already like they are replacements... how could i ask one of them to me moh!! and the other girls i am just not THAT close with for them to be moh.... what should i do! i have no sister or cousins... my fiance has 1 girl cousin and she is 16...
i am so sad about this and pissed that they turned their back on me as a friend. any advice is appreciated!

Wow thats rough. Congrats on making it work though.

Did they have a lot to say during your breakup? Sometimes people get really emotionally involved and if you dont take their advice they feel slighted. Its obvious they dont approve of FH.

Honestly dont have people in your BP that arent happy for you.

Why dont you do this. Skip the traditional BP. Have your kids as your attendants and thats it. It will be unique and special since you're joining the 2 families as one.

I don't think that the girls you asked the first time around, should have necessarily expected to be asked the 2nd time around. Even though it is to the same person, you are now planning a different wedding.
My personal opinion is that things change. There are ladies who ask friends to be in the bridal party a year before a wedding and anything can happen in that 12 months and sometimes end up regretting asking certain people in the first place. I don't know if that made sense.
But if you ask someone else now to be a BM, I would not see them as a replacement, because it is not the same wedding. Just like you and he spent some time apart, becasuse you needed to, and decided while you were apart that you could work it out, Things change.

I would give them a phone call, just so there's no 'I didn't get the email' or 'I coudn't reply to u', etc. If they're really ur friends they'd see that ur FH is the real love in ur live and they should be happy about it. I understand that they might have not liked him at the beginning but if I u're back with him and engaged is for a reason and that he's a good man. If they still don't wanna be ur MOH, u still have some time to see if there is somebody u would like to ask if not, u don't have to have MOH at all, as long as u have people in ur wedding who r really happy for the both of u
