BM and MAID OF HONOR help!! =O

okk so i am stuck and confused and dont know what to do about this... so i posed pics of the 2 dresses i like for BM but i dont know what to do with my 2 maid of honors.. should they all wear the same dress or give me 2 maid of honors a different dress from the BM?? the BM dresses will have an ivory sash with the wine color dress and its not like i can change the color sash for my maid of honor cause they dont have another nice color that can go with wine unless its that ivory.. ahh im confused, help me out.. i dont know what to do to make my maid of honors looks different and stand outtt!! =[

I was a maid of honor and I had the same dress, but larger bouquet as pp said. I'm probably going to do the same.

yeah i am going to give my 2 maid of honors a fuller bok and a little different with like different colors in them and prolly even a different color of lacee or whatever you call that that they use to cover the stems of the bok, lol.. but i wanted to do something different with the dresses also so they stand out.. but i dont know what?? i guess giving them a different dress isnt sooo good right??

I was the MOH in my friends wedding; I wore the same dress, had the same BOK, but I had a different necklace than the other girls.

You can use the same dress, and just change the BOK or give her different jewelry, add a sash, or you can change the color/style of the dress if you'd rather do that and really have her standing out.

What about having the BMs wear the same colored sash as the dress (wine) and your MOHs wear the ivory sash? Is that an option? I think that would look nice. Or you could have your MOHs wear a small flower somewhere in their hair.

My MOH will probably have a different dress. why dont you ask them if they would like a diferent dress and then let them help pick the dress.

my MOH wore the same dress but had a different bo-k....also, all the bm's walked down the aisle with the GM, but my MOH walked down by herself...

u can give them gloves?? what about a black sash??

You can either have them wear a different dress or give them a different bo-k like some of the PP's mentioned. My MOH had the same dress just with a sash and different flowers.

yeah what i think i am going to do is let them all have the same dresses and maybe pick a different color sash for the MOH and different color flowers and more fuller also and different color ribbon on the stems of the bok (you know that ribbon they use to cover the stems) or i liked the idea of 'DEDECAKES', she said have the BM dresses wear the burgandy dress with the burgandy sash and the MOH wear it with the ivory sash, that sounds good too.. or how about have them wear opposite colors?? or i was even thinking how about they reverse the colors?? ahh, soo much to think about!! lol

Glad you liked my idea. Me, personally, wouldn't do the opposite color dresses b/c I think it stands out too much. You want people to notice that there is something special about one of the BMs that will ring a bell in their head...'oh, she must be the maid of honor', but not something so drastic that it sticks out like a sore thumb. But of course, JMO!

GL! I am either going to have my MOH wear the same color dress, but longer or have her wear a flower in her hair.

me & my younger sister were both the MOHs at my older sisters wedding 5 years ago. We had the exact same dresses at the Bridesmaids, but we wore long gloves with it and different style DOJ.

For mine - both my sisters are also going to be me MOHs. They're also wearing the same dress as the bridesmaids, but to stand out they're simply going to have a different color sash.

You can bring a bm and moh to the dress place and put your bm in their dress and see if you can find a dress that goes with it for your mohs.

I think your dresses were Bill Levkoff? If so, you have lots of options! You can pick a dress that's a little different but the same color for the MOHs. Or, you could give them an ivory sash and let the BMs wear wine sashes or no sashes at all. Or, you could change up the flowers.

We had the same 'problem' -- no other color really looked right with the indigo and all of the girls loved the dress, so they all wore the exact same dress. My MOH had a different (larger) necklace, and her bouquet was larger and brighter than the bridesmaid bouquets.

It didn't really matter, everyone knew she was my sis, but it helped her stand out a little.

thats what I am doing. all my girls are wearing the same dress. I got the MOH's bouquet with some crystals in it, and its a bit bigger than the other girls...

I just looked at the dresses you like --- what if you tie the bridesmaid sashes in the back, so from the front you just see a stripe of color, and you tie the MOH sashes at the hip so the bow is visible from the front? That might make a pretty but subtle difference in your pictures, in addition to any other things you might choose to do
