BM and MOH Gifts

Althought this question was asked already - I will ask again - How much is a good amount to spend on BM and MOH gifts - I know that MOH needs to be more - Because they do so much more - BUT dont want to go crazy either - WEDDINGS ARE EXPENSIVE does it ever end...

I spent $85 on a Tiffany necklace...$100 on a massage (with tip)...$30 manicure and pedicure (with tip)

so $215

for each of them? Did you get either of them something different?

I think it all depends on your budget. I paid for 1/2 of both my Maid of Honor (sister) and Matron of Honor (best friend)'s gown. I also got each of them a special gift. My sister was given a butterfly hair pin (it holds special meaning for us) that I had tucked into her bouquet. My bf was given a pair of earrings (she loves earrings). I also paid for their makeup trials. Then all of the BMs were given monogram bathrobes w/spa stuff in a big basket.

My bf's daughter was also in the wedding party as a Jr. BM and her son was an usher so I felt it was just too much to ask one family to spend and that is why I paid for part of the gown. My sister had a big surgery and was out of work for a few weeks to recover and that is why I paid for part of her's. Normally though, I wouldn't have done that too.

it depends on your budget... also i think the brides whos girls are paying for $350 bridesmaids dresses get more expensive gifts...

it ranges from $50-$300 on average per person(from what ive seen on the boards)

I was wondering about that too.. I was going to take her to get her manicure when I get mine (I would have done her hair too, but she is getting it done for free) and a nice piece of jewelry (planning to spend about $50 or so there too)

Is that OK or not enough?

There is not set price of what is ok...its the thought behind it. People arent in your wedidng so that they can get a gift,..they are in it becasue they want to stand up there with you as you say your vows and because they love you. You get them what you feel is appropriate. There hasnt been a wedding that I have been in where I have even thought twice about what I was given, regardless of what I spent on being in the wedding. I had a vera wang BM dress..I wasnt expecting a gift more extravagant. Thst crazy. Do what is within your budget.
Its common to pay for their hair, or manicure pedicure..alot of girls doALOT for the bridal party and its wonderful..but if ya dont have the money....you dont have the money. Alot of parents are also paying for the wedding, so this allows the bride to give their bridal party more. Its depends on your isolated situation. There are so many options out there. You can go really expensive, or you can go really inexpensive. There is not ettiquette rule of what you have to spend. Hope this helps!
