BM dilemma

BM dilemma

My wedding is August 30, and as of yet, one of my 7 bridesmaids STILL hasn't ordered her dress. I'm getting them through David's Bridal in Carle Place which, even though I'd heard bad things about them, I ordered through them anyway. My bm's are all over the east coast, so I thought it would be easiest. Anyway, the last bm just found out that she's pregnant, and has been putting off ordering the dress because she doesn't know what size to get. I'm really worried that now they won't come in on time, and who knows if David's will screw up the order. I love this girl to death, and don't want to get Bridezilla on her a**, but I'm afraid I won't have a chocie. I'm having a mini panic attack right now, and need to vent, but I'm also pretty worried. What to do? By the way, David's says it takes 8 weeks for the dresses to come in, and they won't place the order until everyone has ordered their dress.

I don't think by insisting she get her dress ordered ASAP is being bridezilla at all! The dresses need to get ordered and it's not fair to you that ALL the BM dresses are on hold until she makes up her mind. Iam sure Davids can guide her in ordering a size that will fit her in August. Just call her up and explain that this cannot wait any longer!

David's has a pregnant collection now, so she can order from there a few sizes bigger

She's about 12 weeks now, and will be about 6 months by the wedding. My MOH just gave birth a couple of weeks ago and was 6 months pregnant when she tried on the dress said that the cut of the dress was fine for her pregnant belly. I keep trying to get a hold of the other BM, but all I get is her voicemail. I'm really worried and afraid this will come out as an arguement, which I really want to avoid.

I say you should get on her a$$ about it because it's the end of May and you're cutting it close. You need to also figure in the time it takes for their fittings and alterations. Have her order a few sizes larger because it's better to have it bigger to alter than to have it smaller. This shouldn't wait any longer!

Re: BM dilemma

I just heard from the delinquent bm, and she told me that tomorrow she'll go to David's Bridal to order the dress. I really hope she follows through!
