Anyone doing BM dress from a seperates collection?
Girls are all different sizes and I was thinking about letting them pick their own top (to fit body type and breast size) with the same skirt.
Anyone ever seen this at a wedding? How did it look HONESTLY?

I personally am NOT doing it but have seen it several times, here on LIW.. lots of girls do the same color/material dress, but different styles to suit each figure. But keep in mind, if youre doing different dresses- definatly pick the dresses from the same designer so it's the same color and material... if the colors vary slightly it'll clash

I am doing separates. But all the bridesmaids are wearing the same dress.

I am doing same designer, different dresses. These are mine:
never did that but this week my friend picked oout her BM dress from Davids Bridal - they are a wide variety of sizes. The girl sin her bridal party are all different shapes, sizes and heights. She picked a strapless dress that looks gorgeous on every girl regardless of their shape/size (i was worried about my boobs because they are so big). They also have a seperates collection there too

I picked the designer, color and length of the dress. My girls are picking if they want seperates, strapless.... I don't care the style they pick as long as it is all the same fabric. I love the way it looks, everyone has their own style shine through.

I'm letting my girls pick their own style frrom the Watters and Watters collection, in dupioni silk. I'm just picking the length and color and the rest is up to them. I want them to feel comfortable. I've been in weddings wear I HATED how the dress looked and it's in the back of your mind the whole time. I don't want them to feel like that.

I am doing separates as well. My BMs are all different shapes and sizes and the separates seem to flatter all of them equally. They will be very similar in style 2 MOH in the same and 3 BMs in the same style - Halter top - long a-line skirt w/ a flare

I think i'm doing seperates too...I might keep them all the same style except for my MOH or for my neice whose only gonna be 14...I like the way the seperates look..plus a lady at one of the stores mentioned to me that the girls could always use the tops with jeans to go out to a club and use the skirt at another occasion if they want. I thought that was a good idea..
