I like it alot, just be careful, that material, the think silky material is not good for some body types, if all the girls can pull it off is the question, but I really do like it alot!

Great point -- I am blessed/cursed that they are all in the shape to wear such a dress. One may be PG and she will wear the maternity gown that she will feel most comfy in. All of FI's sisters are like amazon goddesses and my sis is trim also. I do think I will look like a little shrimp no matter what, even with 3 inch heels and 2 extra inches of hair on a chignon. For the girls I do want to stay long -- for Sat night formal event.
I like the simplicity of the line and that it suits my dress as well....

That's really pretty and very different. What color were you thinking?

I love the color Pickles is using -- that dark red but am not so sure. My dress is a rich ivory particularly the sash and the boys are in black.

Go for the color!!! I think the burgundy will go sooo nicely with ivory, I might have my girls holding ivory rose boquets....It will look stunning in that dress!!!

This is actually an evening rather than A BM gown -- I loved the Jenny Yoo and Thread dresses but needed a bit more formal. The mothers are going to be more dressy evening gowns. Mom and I shop in the next couple of weeks and FMIL is off to the designers to look. I can only imagine...

Same thing with my dresses and mothers....I needed it a bit more dressy than what I was seeing, and my mother is going to be majorly gowned out, she has a great figure and is always in the top designers dresses, so its going to be an adventure to find something for her...

I totally feel what you are saying! My mom is really low maintenance and will wear whatever -- she is really pretty and works out like a fiend so she will look smashing, I am sure. FMIL -- she is going ALL out!!! She goes to Carolina Herrera and then Reem next week. Oh lordy.
P.S. Where is your weding -- what place?

Re: BM dress contender

Its at this really gorgeous temple in the five towns on long island...I wasnt too keen on having it at a temple, but I walked in here an was overwhelemed, we looked at Oheka and all the gorgeous ones, and for some reason this temple took my breath away, it looks like an old european mansion..just stunning...
I've been to a wedding at the puck building, its gorgeous!!! I love it, we didn't really look that much in the city, bc most of our guests, if they aren't coming from Europe (which a lot of them are), they are coming from either the island or Brooklyn..so the Island obviously won that fight....

My mother is going to look at elie saab and oscar de la renta soon, I'm dragging her too..she wants to wait unti January and I'm not letting her!!!

Re: BM dress contender

Which temple -- I grew up near there?
Where in Europe? That is so cool!
I was outvoted on the Puck -- I wanted Atlantica or Flowerfield but FI really really wanted NYC wedding.
Oh, I love Elie Saab -- where are you going to look?
So many questions, sorry.

Re: BM dress contender

not a problem.....
Temple Beth El in cedarhurst.....I just loved it....
We're going to look first and foremost in Bergdorfs, if no luck there then Saks. My mom also knows a bunch of women that if she sees a dress and tries it on can get it for her from Europe for much much cheaper, since most of my family is from Europe. My parents are Hungarian, my mom was 8 months pregnant with me when they came here...my aunt lives in Vienna now...and we have some family in Israel....and some family still in Budapest....
