BM Dress Dilemma

BM Dress Dilemma

Ok, so i went with a few of my girls on wednesday to choose the final dress. We choose Bill Levkoff style 550 (pics in my album). But now I am not sure if i am happy with my choice. I am thinking of switching stle 966 which is the same dress but without the pickups. I am just afraid the pickups are too 'trendy' and i will hate them in pictures years to come. The whole dream of my wedding is to be classy and elegant. Nothing too flashy or over the top......simplistic elegance. So i guess my question is......which dress would you choose considering what my goal is? I also included a pic of my dress.

pick-ups are quite trendy at the moment, if you want something more timeless I would suggest the smooth dress. they are both pretty, but I think the smooth one will stand the test of time a little better.

Personally, I would go with the straight dress. I see my parents' wedding albumn, and my dad's 1970's white tux with the ruffles, which was AWESOME back then, but now it is like 'whoa! were u married in the 70's?! ' lol Also, the 80's puffy sleeves and big hair... if you're going for timeless, that bill levkov is nothing but classy and elegant. The gathered ones are pretty too,... but this will never go out of style (please no one get mad at me if you have gathered bm dresses... i'm sure they're very pretty)

LOL. that is exactly what i dont want. everyone keeps telling me 'its the style who cares' but i dont want to hate/regret my choices. i look at like my grandparents weddings pics and they are gorgeous and timeless. i want that too!!

I'm having my BM's in the same dress...same color combo. It's a classic elegant style.

both are very pretty...but if you are worried about trends...then I would stick to the 966 style! It will never go out of style and is very classy

I'm kind of biased too- I'll be using style # 557 (which is the exact same dress as 966 except in taffeta instead of satin- I'm using sable for the dress and taupe for the sash)....so my vote is for 966!!! Love it!!

966 is VERY popular - so if you want something more unique, go with pickups...

but 966 is popular bc its so beautiful

So just thought I would reply to your post. I love love the dress without the pick ups...I also think the smooth dress flatters all body types, not sure how the other dress would. But whatever you choose, no matter what, your pictures will look great!
