BM Dress Drama

We get to Davids bridal, I'm there with a few members of my BP which included my MOH, 16y/o sister, 13 y/o niece. After they try on the dress that I choose, my sister starts complaining that its too plain then my niece says she doesn't like it (she hates all dresses). At this point I'm getting annoyed but they're kids so whatever But then SIL complains that the dress is too expensive. SIL made such a big deal of it going on and on! she even says shes going to have to put the dress on layaway b/c she couldn't afford it . She made me feel as if I'm inconsiderate and should've picked a less expensive dress. I put so much time into trying to find a dress that I like that is not too expensive, the dress is $168 (tax included) it doesn't even have to be altered. Its amazing how she claims to be so broke yet when we first got there she tells me how they'll be going on vacation in the summer. From the begining she's given me a hard time about everything with the wedding. I feel like my family is so quick to complian but nobody helps me!

Do you think $168 is too much to pay for a BM dress?

lol thanks...Well I was going to pay $68 toward the dress but I'm sure she'll complain about the remainder. Just to give you a backround she also asked me to change my wedding date b/c it was the only time she'd be able to go on vacation. I ended up changing my date due to financial reasons so when I told her the new date she said she would have to check her schedule b/c she thought it was the day of their annual block party. My brother says nothing!

Maybe she was hoping to show up in her block party outfit? ***?

lmao I wouldn't put it past her...She thinks I shouldn't be having a big wedding because FH and I already live together and have kids. Fh says she's jealous cause she didn't have a wedding. They had a civil ceremony but she's been making really nasty comments lately. One day I was eating a piece of cake and she said 'most brides would be watching their weight around now!' I said well this bride is going to enjoy this piece of cake!!!

from what ive seen on here, that seems like a low-avg price... mine are about the same price without alts! my girls havent complained bc they know i tried getting them the lowest possible price... i dont think thats right of her... but are you having them spend money also on new shoes, jewlery etc? bc it may be a combination of expenses that shes really upset about

are you kidding me??? she sounds like she likes to cause drama. dont let her get to you. its your day and you do what makes you and FH happy!

Very reasonable!! My BM dresses were double that.. They really shouldnt be saying anything about your choices.. thats so rude!

Oh please she sounds very jealous... trust me kill her with kindness it will make her more angry that you arent responding to her comments.. sounds like she wants to make you mad... dont give her the satisfaction!
