BM dress help

I am having my girls wear black because it is elegant and flattering.
one of the girls in my BP asked me if I had any idea about dresses and I told her they can wear their own style dress (this is because their sizes range from literally a zero all the way to a 24). So over the weekend she told me she wants to wear a black satin dress that she already owns. I told her it would depend on what my sister picks out (as MOH) bc it may not be satin in which case she cant wear it bc i want them all in the same material.
The problem is my sister is leaning towards a black satin dress. My friend's dress (she is the size 24) is not flattering on her at all but I cant say that to her bc she loves it. I am also concerned that the blacks will not match...is that possible or would she think it is a bs excuse if I say that?
how do i tell her nicely that I dont want her wearing it? or be honest am I just being a bridezilla and if she is comfortable in it I should let her wear it?

i am having black dresses, and they said the dye an vary a little even with black....working with color all day long, there are variations in black...some have more green, some more blue...I would def use this as an excuse..and i would suggest making all the girls pick dresses form the same designer so they can match the dye.

I agree. First of all, its very sweet of you to be so sensitive to your bm's concerns. Most likely, she wants to wear the dress she has because she's worn it before and knows it fits her...even if it isnt so flattering on her, she feels comfortable in it so I bet you that's what she wants to go that route.

I would definitely do as suggested and after your sis picks her dress, have the other girls get their dresses from the same manufacturer (but please keep in mind that not all designers make all dresses in plus sizes, so wherever you choose, just make sure that isn't the case)....

And you are right, just because the dresses are all black doesn't mean they match...You can tell your bm that everyone is getting a new dress so that they will all match without being the same exact dress and you would like her to also get a new dress. Perhaps you and her can go shopping one on one to find a dress for her.
