BM Dress Help - With Poll & Pics

BM Dress Help - With Poll & Pics

I have been searching high and low for BM dresses. My problem - I'm picky, and none of my girls want to wear strapless.

I love the look of MOH in full length gown and BM in tea length. I understand this look is not for everyone.

I have found dresses from Impression Bridal that look good on MOH, and should look good on both BM. (BM out of town, so I am using MOH and myself as models to try & figure out how good/bad dresses will look on OOT girls before I send them out).

I have also found After Six dress that can be shortened for BM that looks stunning on MOH, and one BM, not all that great (not horrible, but not great) on the other BM.

My mother is not thrilled that I am not going with dress that looks stunning on MOH/sister. (yes, I know, my wedding, but she is 70 and not healthy, so if there is something that will make her happy, that I can do without making myself totally insane, I am willing).

So question is, do I go with Impression dresses I like, or do I go with After Six dress that can be shortened, or do I try and find coordinating dress to go with After Six, and put MOH in A-6, and girls in something else.

Edited to say: No matter what I do, I can't get the After Six dress to come up, but it is style # A6244 at a6.dessy.com.

I would let your sister wear the After Six, it'll satisfy everyone. Then your BMs can wear the one from Impressions, or something else you all like. It's ok for the MOH to look different, you want her to stand out, esp if you're really close with your sister. I applaud you for wanting to make your mom happy too, I'm glad you're taking her feelings into consideration. GL!!!

being a past BM that wore Impression, I voted for that! The dress you actually picked was one of the ones I loved...The quality of their dresses is wonderful! I ended up going w/Bill Levkoff bc Impression didn't have my color

I don't think brand matching is that important if the materials are the same (and color MUST match if your are trying for that, otherwise coordinating colors will be fine)

all your bm's should at least look good, if not spectacular in their dresses. it's like the commercial, if they don't look good, you won't look good- no matter how well they match or whatever, if the dress is not flattering, it will not look good in pics.

I finally managed to get a picture of the After Six dress in question. The color would be similar to the burgandy seen in the Impression picture.
