BM dress is in!!! (with pics) - need opinion on DOJ for my girls

My MOH emailed me today with a shot of her with her dress on and I have to say that I LOVE the colors I chose! In all the Alfred Angelo ads, this dress is in this color (pistachio) with a light blue trim and sash. I wanted lavender. And I LOVE it!!!!

What do you think?



The dress is WAY too big on my MOH (she's a 2/4 and they ordered her a 6 -- she says it's crazy how big it is, and she's a bit miffed, but she'll take it to her tailor who will fix it perfectly). I trust her -- she's very good at that stuff.

Do you think simple silver jewelry? Pearls? I just have no ideas....

I think silver might got lost with the green. . (which I love btw) i would think pearls would look nice. or some light green crystals. . I have seen necklaces that have drop clusters of colored crystals (or glass. . don't have to be crystal) could look really nice. .

Good point about silver getting lost! I didn't even think of that.

I have just under 2 months so I'll start looking soon. FSIL (my other BM) is in NC and I'll see her this weekend so if we have time, maybe we'll look together. (I'm not very good with surprises... for anyone... I already showed them their day of hoodies lol...)

I love the pistachio color! Perfect for summer. I would do pearls also. I think it will keep it subtle and elegant! JMO

I think pearls would look really nice - the dress looks like it has an iridescence that would look great with the shine of the pearls.

I just have this vision in my head of beautiful spring pastels (despite my wedding being in July) and it's coming together so nicely! I'm really happy I picked the perfect matching ribbon for my card box and bubbles, etc. (the pics are in my album)

Lol good point!

FH's parents gave me pearls for christmas this year but I'm not wearing them at the wedding since I have other DOJ I'm getting from my step-mom (my something borrowed). I wonder if they'd be upset if I got the girls pearls to wear. I doubt it. It'll confirm how much I like pearls lol.

You can do silver like a silver necklace with green crystals or lavender crystals if your girls are wearing silver shoes but if they are not then i say go with the pearls.
