BM dress locations in Suffolk

My bridesmaids and I are coming to LI this weekend to shop for dresses. Does anyone have any recommendations for places that have a nice selection but aren't way overpriced? I want to get nice dresses, but I also want to keep the costs low. Thanks in advance...

Try the wedding center in commack. they will also order any dress you want...they are cheaper because you can get the allterations there or take the dress with you

How about going to...

the Bridal Suite of Centereach. I went there with my bridesmaids recently and found their dress. We went to a bunch of bridal stores, but no one had anything we liked. You can also try Paradise Bridals in Patchogue, they had a big selection too. Good luck!

How about going to...

I agree Commack Wedding Center has a good selection and good prices but they also have a history of screwing things up. Paradise Bridals (Patchogue) has a lot of dresses. I went to both of the above and after we picked out the dresses, we ordered them online for $50 less. All my BMs are in different dresses - (same designer, same color) we ordered them from gownsonline.com and bestbuybridal.com. It worked out great!

BM Dresses

Lisa - If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get your BM dresses for online? Did they have the exact dresses that you saw in the stores? I fell in love with a BM dress, but it is listed at $170 online...is that too much?

BM Dresses

I got my dress and bridesmaid dresses at the Wedding Center in Commack...and they screwed up and then wanted us to pay for their screw up. Although they were cheaper and had a good selection of dresses, I wasn't happy with their service. I wouldn't recommend them.

julykbride - online dresses

The prices varied (my BMs are wearing different dresses) but they ranged from $92-155. Store/designer prices ranged from $135-220. They are exactly the same dresses - they order them from the manufacturer. They're able to provide lower prices because they don't have the store overhead. Where did you see the $170 price? ask for a quote on the sites I mentioned above and see if they offer a better price.

julykbride - online dresses

Thanks Lisa! I guess I'll have some of my bridesmaids try on dresses in the stores, but look towards buying them online. I found the $170 listed on one of the After Six dresses on their website. I'll ask for a quote and see if they come down in price.

julykbride - online dresses - save $50-70!!

After-six was one of the designers we got (After-six and Dessy combo) - the prices were much better online. You can expect about $50-70 off that price. I think gownsales.com had the best After Six prices. here's a sampling of prices & styles: A6163-listed at $170, gownsales $105.00 A6162-listed at $184, bought for $114.00 The dresses arrived in 4-6 weeks and they were lovely to deal with. Good luck!
