bm dress (pic) & jewelry question!

here's a picture of the bm dress that my girls will be wearing. i'm loving the color - very rich looking for fall...

so the question becomes: bm jewelry - silver or gold ?? i asked them to get the gold or champagne colored shoe of their choosing, but i know a lot of people don't wear gold jewelry anymore.

Thoughts?? TIA

classy gold totally makes sense... just like delicate earrings and maybe a small chain necklace that will lay on their collarbones or something...
