Two of my bridesmaids are from England and obviously due to this will not be coming here to get measured for the dress (and I am also leaving to go there at the end of this month for 5 months). I am using jim hjelm and there are tons of shops that carry his dresses all over England. Should I have them measured and order their dresses here so they can all be dyed in the same lot, and then ship the dresses to them to be altered, or should I just have them order their dresses over in England have them dyed separately and not care if the dresses are slightly off color. What do you think would be best?

If they're going to be in the US and you can wait for the girls to get measured and order the dresses together - wait.
Otherwise, if they're not coming here, let them order it from the same place together in the UK. The color might be slightly off and if you're willing to accept that, then it'll be fine. However, if you're someone that will totally freak out if the colors aren't EXACT, then....

you should have the girls get measured at a shop near them then get the measurements from them and order everything here from the same shop so the dye lot will be the same and then just mail them the dresses when they come in, if you do it at diff places the dye lot will be off and IMO that would drive me crazy in the pictures, I had the same situation with 2 of my girls in CA and I had black dresses and wasw concerned so I orderd them all here then mailed them theirs

I agree, this is what I am doing for my long distance BMs.
