All my girls have tea length dresses, (all have different dresses from same designer), except one girl. There are no other tea length dresses that I like for her, and was trying to find out if we could hem a floor length gown to a tea length, or would that look stupid?

I think it would depend on the style of dress and getting a wonderful seamstress

Most floor length gowns can be altered to tea length. Ask the seamstress, and find out if there are additional charges for shortening (there shouldn't be).
