I was wondering if you guys gave your BM choices when it came to selecting a dress. For example, for my friend's wedding this upcoming April, she selected 6, asked us to vote for our top two, and then went with the majority. Is this normal? Because I don't want to be a b*tch and say 'YOU HAVE TO WEAR THIS ONE', except that I found the PERFECT dress. . . .and now I don't want to give them a choice. It's just a strapless, A-Line dress, so it's not something crazy that would be difficult for my girls to 'pull off' either, but is that mean of me to just pick? I mean, I guess it is MY wedding, but still....I want to be fair.
What do you think? Thanks everyone!!

Re: BM Dress Question
i had a dress in mind and brought 2 bm's with me and they tried it on, i didn't like the way it looked on them. we then picked out different ones and they tried them on. we agreed on one that looked good on both of them, and it's really cute...

Re: BM Dress Question
I had 2 dresses in mind. And regardless if they didn't like either one of em, they were wearing them anyway. Thats just how I am, and besides, it's my day to choose what I want

Re: BM Dress Question
I think as long as the style is something that should look good on everyone, it's fine. I've only been in two weddings--one I was the MOH and went shopping with the bride and she picked it out, the other I was a BM and didn't get a choice. It's your day...I think you can pick the dress!

Re: BM Dress Question
I had a dress in mind and when we went, I asked them to try on that dress but others as well. Turned out it was the first one they put on and they last because they all loved it and were psyched!
I don't think it is mean for you to pick, but I would def. leave the idea open to go there and have them try it on and see in person.

Re: BM Dress Question
I brought my two sisters with me to try on dresses. They must have tried on every Bill Levkoff dress there was in the store. I narrowed it down to three (with their suggestions). I was going to let the girls just choose any one they wanted out of the three since I was not concerned with matching, but everyone choose the same one.

Re: BM Dress Question

my problem with bringing any of my bridesmaid to the store with me is that I'm in AZ and my six girls are all in DIFFERENT states. i know, i couldn't make this easy on myself
