BM dress question

BM dress question

I wanted to know when is a good time to go with BMs to get their dresses. I bought my dress yesterday and they told me that although the wedding is in 09 it wasnt too early to get my dress since it takes 9-12 months for the dress to come in once you put down half the cost of the dress (not even close..only put a small deposit down), which means I'll probably get my dress like 6-8 months or so before the wedding. I assume that BM dresses dont take as long to come in. Any advice or am I just being too eager in wanting to go dress shopping with the girls? TIA

It's never to early to go and look, but btwn now and 09 some styles may be d/c and many new ones will be added. I would go to try styles and colors but wait on a final design until next year. This gives you a chance to narrow down the field when you're all ready to put money down and it gives you and your BM a chance to save. Enjoy looking and good luck!!
