BM Dress Question

My Goddaughter - one of my BM's - will be out of the country for July and August. Should I rush to find BM dresses now or wait till September to order them? I'm getting married in May so I'm thinking I will have enough time if I wait till Sept......

We haven't even begun to look for BM dresses but I know that I want her dress to be the same (or atleast the same color) as that of the older BM's so everyone will have to wait to place their order in Sept so that the dresses are all cut from the same fabric. (I was told that dresses need to be ordered @ the same time to ensure consistent color)

I was thinking of getting her measurements before she left but she is 14 years old and is going through a growth spurt so I'm not sure......

Sorry for going on and on but I just wanted to give you as much info as possible.....

I actually have the same problem... one of my BM's is going to London for the semester to study abroad and won't be back until right before Christmas! I realized though that if we order in January we'll still have 8 months and the bridal shop told me that should be plenty of time...

Since your wedding is in May I think you will be fine with ordering yours in September! I think you should wait, plus then you can take your time and try on lots of different dresses instead of rushing to find one before she leaves.

My wedding is only in June and I just started looking for bm dresses. The first place I went to told me I was actually ahead of the game and that I was early shopping for them. But better early than last minute right? I don't think its necessary to have the dress picked out yet. I think you should take the summer to look at your options and narrow them down. Then, when everyone is here you can make a final decision and take everyone in for measurements. No need to rush!

Don't worry, it should only take 3 months or less for BM's dresses. I just ordered my dress last weekend and I feel like I could have waited if I had to. We haven't looked at BM's dresses at all.
