I have a BM in my wedding that is a plus size girl. All the rest of my BM's range from skinny to average. My friend is afraid that we will not be able to find a dress to fit her. My question is if I order her a dress from a diff desinger the color will not be excatly the same as the rest of the dresses will it look terrible?
the dress that your other girlsare wearing doesn't come in her size? My girls all range from size 0 to size 20 and the dress I chose came in all those sizes
Most designers carry the dresses in bigger sizes but they will charge you a bit more
My friend is bigger than that & she is preggo. She mentioned to me that she had a hard time trying to find a dress to fit her for her sisters wedding which was 4 years ago. I just dont want her to be uncomfortable.
like it was said in another post, you can get a larger size.. they will just charge you a bit more.
Most dress designer's sizes only go up to 28...you can order additional fabric panels to be added to the dress, but it becomes expensive. For an example, the dress I wore in my sis' wedding was $97 (had a coupon!) and for my friend who is larger than a 28, the same dress was going to cost her $300+. She wound up backing out of the BP, sadly.
If you're doing a basic color like black, I don't see a problem with ordering a completely different dress from a different designer - if that would make things more affordable and/or easier.
