So I told FIL that I decided to change the BM dress. I am still using the same designer and color but I loved this dress that I saw. My question is, I originally wanted to have a champagne sash with the wine colored dress. FSIL said that she thinks it will clash with the white of my dress and the white of my FG dress. So then I was thinking of doing the whoe dress wine and my MOH will have a white sash. The only problem I have with that is that I am concerned that you wont be able to see the sash. Do you think you'll be able to see the sash if the dress is all one color??
Below are the BMs dresses and FH dress. The BM dress has a long sash going down the back. You can see it on billlevkoff.com and its the 1st dress on page 4. The FG dress is the one that is predominantly wine.
That's the bm dress I'm using - in those colors. I think it might be hard to see the sash if the dress is all one color and I love the contrast of two colors. If you really want to have a wine dress with a lighter sash go for it!

that's the problem i'm having.
i'm definitely using that dress but can't decide on a color! i want the contrasting look but can only think of lilac/violet as a good combo. i don't want champagne because it's too close to white.

I really love the contrast too!! Maybe I can do white sashes with the dresses and give my MOH a different BoK???

thats also a problem, i am having, not same dress but same idea of dark dress with lighter sash...what about a deeper champagne/goldish sash with wine dress, or champagne dress with wine sash??

I agree that the champagne sash will clash with the white of your dress and FG dress. Going with white sash would solve that problem. Did you consider going with pink sash for BM? Usually shades of the same color work well together. I do think the sash will be lost if it is the same color as the dress.

Having a pink sash will clash with my color scheme. I am doing all fall colors. My roses are oranges, yellows, and reds. So I dont think pink would work.

I LOVE THE SASH A DIFFERENT COLOR IF YOU WANT YOU CAN MAKE BM'S CHAMPAGNE WITH BERRY SASH AND REVERESE IT FOR MOH THAT WILL LOOK NICE AND DIFFERNT. GIVE THAT A THOUGHT. TELL ME HOW IT GOES.

i like the color.. i tired that on at burtons in that color too and loved it.. i dont think it will clash if you use the right flower color.. plus the darker sash helps not clash..IMO... good luck

I am aslo getting the dress, and I agree - you need the contrasting sash - thats what makes the dress.
If you're afraid champagne will 'clash' with white, than how about Wine and Ivory? I was just at the Salon yesterday, and the Ivory is very pretty - almost white looking, like a Diamond White.
ETA: To make MOH different, give her a different bouquet, add straps to hers, or see if the she can be the only one with the train. HTH!

I am doing the dress with a black sash.. What about a black one for the BM and an Ivory for the MOH???

Black dosent really go with my fall theme. And I really think the champagne will clash with my and my FG. I think Im gonna go with an all Wine colored dress and make my MOH look different through her flowers

why dont you do wine with a black sash that would look nice. i dont know if i like wine with a white sash. JMO
i just wore black in my friends wedding and she did fall flowers and it looked great.
