BM dress question/swatches

While dress shopping for me I decided to check out the BM dress selection at Macys (Manhasset). I found a dress I loved, one of my BM tried it on and we loved it (just not that color). They showed me a book of all the colors and swatches.

So I told the store where I bought my dress that I want that BM dress. They ordered a sample and it just came in. Now she said they only have the dress-no book of colors/swatches. She said she would order the particular swatch color I want but I need to see all of them to decide.

Should I just go back to Macys look through the book and get the swatch from them? Am I allowed??

I would go back. They dont have to know you're not getting the dress from them and they shouldnt give you a hassle either.

Can you go online at the designer's site and get a color swatch?

I think you can, but the colors might not be exact. I'd rather see it in person.
I guess i'll just go back to Macys and get it from them.
