Well Ive been thinking...which is never a good thing....and I think I want to scope out dress shops for bm dresses i like before i get my girls together to go shopping
That way i know the store we go to has something to see and try on especially since its gonna be hard to get them together on one day
did anyone else do this or am i losing my freakin mind?

I did this.. I picked out 5 dresses I liked and told them to pick one.. They overtook me, vetoed them all and picked a different dress. It was exhausting and it made me dizzy I would recommend scoping out a shop beforehand. It will just make less work.

Definitely check it out yourself first. Its ultimately going to be your choice so picking out a few beforehand will help you avoid being ambushed by your BMs when you go out with them.

i would Definately pick out choices/ stores beforehand. I didnt even give my girls a choice though... i dont see the point in that,, you plan every other little thing, why is the BM dress any different? it just never crossed my mind... any other wedding ive ever been in/ to, the bride picked out the dress. all the girls lvoed the dress though, so that made life easier. honestly, the less options you give others, the easier it makes your life

I did. Well I looked at a place for wedding dresses and realized they had a bunch of bm dresses. So I went that way. Still did not get one from them. In the end I found a dress on my own, then told them to try it on. They like the dresses alot

i want to find the stores that carry them so i can see them in person
i actually did that too and I brought with me the bm who was the largest in chest and shortest to see how it would look. But it went well that way and then i showed the rest of the girls

I found a bunch of dresses online that I really like, but once I saw them in person they didn't look as nice, or didn't look good on the girls, so after a LONG day of shopping, they picked something they all liked, and I picked the color. I was so exhausted by then I was willing to go with whatever decision they made. Picked the BM's dresses has been the hardest decision so far!

I completely agree with you Neeniebean86!! I had an idea, but I didn't pick out styles. Luckily, the girls and I all had the same taste, and the dress shopping for them was done in 2-3 days tops.. But.. seriously.. the less opinions, the better!!!

I asked each girl individually what their price point was, the style dress they thought was most flattering on them and colors that they liked. Then I went to a few stores and scoped out dresses for my bm's using the lowest amount as my guide and looked for things in the requested styles. I even tried them on. I explained to my girls I was looking for a certain fabric, length, style and price (chiffon, long, a-line between 150-200) and then gave them a few choices. They loved the ones I picked but they did not come in a color everyone liked so we went to another store and found the dress there.

i picked out the dress i wanted them to wear online.. had my heart set on it. went to the store with them and let them pick around.. tried on a bunch..i found the sample of the one i liked and they loved it. so it all worked out.
i'd say definitely start looking around that way you know what you want.

i did this too, and i'm so glad i did. i went to the dress place and picked the line of dresses that i wanted my BMs to choose from, the material, and the color. it made things much easier for the BMs.
